New Jersey Chapter

On December 12, 1991, an informal meeting was held at the A Team office at Jersey Shore Medical Center. Those in attendance were:
•    Joyce Burton and Mary Conlon from East Orange General
•    Debbie Winters from Critical Care America in Edison
•    Diane Grant from Jersey Shore Addiction Services
•    Kathleen Van Dyke and Ruth Engle from Riverview Medical Center in Red Bank
•    Mary Ann Vitiello-Taylor from Robert Wood Johnson in New Brunswick
•    Susan Battaille, Mary Ann Corrigan and Sharon Owens from Jersey Shore Medical Center in Neptune

The discussion that evening included the name of the proposed chapter. Central New Jersey Chapter was chosen. The attendees also discussed dues and the possibility of traveling to various centers for monthly meetings. They were invited by Critical care America to meet there.  They talked about visiting the dedicated AIDS unit at East Orange General.

On November 11, 1992 the Charter was presented to ANAC- Central New Jersey Chapter at the Annual conference in Orlando Florida. In 1999 the chapter name was changed to ANAC NJ Chapter, encompassing the entire state.
