At the core of ANAC's mission is the commitment to provide professional development opportunities for nurses involved in HIV, viral Hepatitis and other infectious diseases. This includes:
ACRN/AACRN Certification - The HIV/AIDS Nursing Certification Board (HANCB) is a nonprofit professional organization whose goals are:
- improve the quality of HIV/AIDS nursing care and prevention
- to promote competency of nurses caring for persons with HIV/AIDS
- to recognize this professional achievement through a certification and recertification process
ANAC Accredited Nursing Education- ANAC provided nursing education with accreditation from the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
Continuing Education - Continuing education through a variety of formats and opportunities provides the basis for nursing practice. Contact hours are available by attending ANAC's Annual Conference and other educational activities throughout the year.
International Nursing Network for HIV/AIDS Research - Anyone who is interested in HIV/AIDS nursing is welcome and invited to join. This includes both nurses and non-nurses, as well as students, faculty members and practicing nurses.
