Nurses and nurse practitioners encounter many lab tests in daily practice.   This program focuses on specialty labs that are used to treat and monitor HIV disease and HIV related conditions.

The program will review common specialty tests including resistance testing (genotype and phenotype), interferon-gamma release assay (IGRA) tests for TB infection, tropism assays, and HLA-B*5701 genetic testing.  Specialty lab testing associated with Hepatitis B and C will also be reviewed.
